Nice appliance. I was amazed how quickly it began making ice. It filled the bin with in a few hours during our first use. I really like that the bin is removable. Makes it much easier to be able to dump the ice in a cooler, instead of a scoop at a time. This commercial ice maker was ordered for home and not business use. We throw a lot of parties and off shore fish and were tired of paying outrageous prices for frozen water. We highly recommend consideration for home use as it is very easy to use, fits well almost anywhere (garage, downstairs bar etc). You can store bags and scoops on top and easily reach for use (I’m 5’5”). I want to comment on the delivery! This arrives in 2 separate shipments or at least ours did! The bottom - where the ice is stored arrived first. Because I did not know it would come in 2 separate shipments I was immediately concerned that it was not the right size, and spent over an hour getting it straightened out with customer service. The second piece - the refrigerator part - arrived almost 10 days later. Again may have just been my delivery but worth noting if you order. Also the refrigerator part is heavy and took both my teenage son and husband to lift. It went together fairly easily and without frustration. Attached are photos during the process. It is very nice looking and does not take up a lot of space. We needed to move it from its original spot and it was easy to move once put together moving it detached so it was in 2 different pieces, but taking it back apart was easy and the “sleek slim and tall” feature comparatively to the wider and shorter commercial ice makers is very handy! It also cleans easily without streaks. We also like that it came with the filters and ice scoops as well as replacements. Instructions for installation are easy to follow. We have now used it for a few days and can report that it makes about a 10 lb bag of ice within 20 mins which is really nice if you have had it off and want to start it up for a party to simply fill coolers and make drinks. The bin was about half full after 6 hrs and looks to be about 40 lbs. but we have it stored in our garage where it was 60-70 degrees. It’s also very quiet. The ice maker arrived very fast. Easy set up with all necessary parts. We upgraded the filter with a 20 one we can easily order a replacement every 6 months. Also bought a 38” water line kit for 30 with multiple connectors, shut offs, 10’ feet of line, etc. Connected a smart plug to track energy use and running at 250 watts making ice which is right on spec. This ice maker is fabulous! Firstly- it makes ice SO fast. Literally within minutes of plugging it in, it had ice made. We use a lot of ice and it has the tray filled back up to full in no time.
