Florio Solid Wood Platform Bed with Footboard and Trundle

This bed arrives in four separate packages. One of the boxes is over 80 lb and will require additional assistance to move for average homeowner. The side rails as well as footboard come fully assembled out of the box. The headboard requires the side legs to be attached but this process is very simple. The support rails for the bed are extremely flimsy and using this bed as a trundle will not allow you vertical support to stop the mattress from sagging in the middle over time. Dinged a star for that. The trundle portion comes in its own separate box of the four and requires complete assembly which is very straightforward. Two of the threaded nuts that come pre-installed were missing in the holes allowing me no way to attach screws so I had to get creative as this is something the average homeowner might struggle with. The cracked wood is my fault for not predrilling. As a bonus the side rails of the bed have the mattress supports glued prior to painting and I'm including photos of the lumps of glue which are not a big deal but nice to know that the rails are physically glued as well as screwed. The trundle face came with 2 dents but my kids will do way worse in time. I would recommend this bed as it can be used stand alone, with a trundle, with the rails lowered for easier access, and also used with an existing box spring and metal frame.

We bought thus trundle bed for our boys to use in their room, since we only have my stepson part-time and when he is not here the trundle can be pushed in to save space. The trundle bed has been great! I recommend getting a thinner mattress for the trundle which makes it easier to push in with bedding. We purchased a 5" mattress for this reason.

Beautiful bed for the guest bedroom. It takes some time to put together but is well constructed. The twin trundle easily slides in and out from under the full sized bed. The frame is pretty.

I did like this bed frame. But the day I got the bed I found big cracks on it. And the Wood smells very very bad.

I’m happy with the bed so far. It was relatively easy to build. Double check each step before proceeding when constructing the bed. I already bought an 8in mattress for it just waiting to see if I like it to buy another one for the trundle. Also one side is exposed so I’ll put that side against the wall.
