The manufacturer recommends (via a note included with the robe) to wash before wearing. Washing it did not help the deep wrinkles from shipping and it also did not soften the robe at all. Fortunately, I found a soft robe + pajama set from a brick-and-mortal store for my daughter. Considering I washed the robe from Wayfair, I'm reticent to attempt a return as it is not in its original condition. This purchase was a mistake all-around. At least it wasn't on indefinite, date shifting backorder like the rug I purchased months ago. I am giving a 2 instead of a 1 for this robe because at least we received it.
