We did an overhaul of bedroom furniture wanted a general lg blanket we can change out covers. We got a king size got the comforter to go with the duvet cover. It seems to be holding up well. I was looking for a light weight down and this fit the bill. It was for a guest bedroom. Everyone sleep’s different, some cold and some hot. Now that it is summer I’ve folded and placed at the base of the bed to be pulled up if the air conditioning gets too cold. This last winter it was reversed, main coverage and the lighter weight bedspread for extra warmth. I find that blankets that are 100% quiet are usually microfiber or other polyester. True cotton and natural materials tend to have a little more noise. Absolutely crisp. Really, really nice. Quite enjoying! I don't have this one in a duvet cover at the moment. And not using solely - but only for an extra over other duvets. So not certain of the warmth on its own. (I'll try that out, at some point, this summer.) But... it's 'fluffy', with a decent amount of light fill. And the cover is 100% cotton - which to me is important for breathability. Definitely highly recommended. Would certainly purchase another. (Perhaps a little more pricey than some, but it IS goose down-filled & seems to be of a really good quality. This duvet is made with soft, plush microfiber fill, a high quality polyester that's meant to mimic the softness of down. The shell is soft 300 thread count cotton.Microfiber doesn't have the same insulating properties as down, so microfiber duvets are heavier weight. A fair bit of fill is required to achieve the desired warmth. One benefit of a synthetic duvet is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. Natural down and feather are sensitive to moisture, but polyester is not!
