Pillow description said ultra soft with medium support. I found this pillow to be firm. The softness is the pillow case itself. The weight of your head does not compress the pillow too much. Very supportive for neck problems but I like a pillow that is both supportive and soft. Pillow well made and no odour which many of the other foam pillows have.
