I was absolutely amazed to find this privacy rod for a VERY reasonable price. Had thought of having one made locally but for the cost of this we couldn’t justify making our own. It is surrounding a bird cage to eliminate drafts and also retain body heat on chillier nights (a medium sulfur-created Cockatoo doesn’t generate much heat) and getting rings and thermal curtains to complete this project was so simple ince we had the hanging portion and hardware determined. (There is a high-sided inflatable pool under the cage at it’s base to catch wood toy splinters and food crumbs to keep the area neater - covered in white sheets to protect against harmful UV rays.) So I have been on the hunt for a brass shower curtain rod for a year now! They dont exist and if the do they are poorly made or insanely expensive! This one is GORGEOUS! Wow It was slightly too long but for the price I bought it anyway...I cut about an inch off before installing it then drilled the hardware into the tile...it was first time drilling into tile and I was a little nervous but it was just as easy as drilling holes in a wall!
