We love this pergola! It replaced a motorized retractable canvas awning that needed a new cover. We discovered that replacing just the cover would have cost almost three times as much as purchasing this entire pergola—and this looks so much better! Our deck is on the second level, and the pergola feels sturdy and has held up well through some fairly strong winds. My brother and nephew assembled it and attached it securely to both the deck and the house. Installation took most of the day, so it was definitely a project. Fortunately, my husband and I organized all the pieces and assembled several of the basic parts before they arrived, which helped tremendously. The finished pergola looks fabulous, and we receive so many compliments on it! Our neighbor was so impressed that they took the accompanying photo from their deck. The only drawback we have found is that it does leak during rainstorms, and we haven’t yet figured out how to correct that. Even with that issue, we are extremely pleased with it. Wayfair contracted the assembly out to Angi and when they sent the first “professional”, he tried doing it by himself and completely damaged the shed. When I called Wayfair, they sent replacement parts and the parts never showed up (they shipped them to the wrong address). Wayfair then sent a replacement shed, but I had to take down the old one (as they said they don’t do demo work). Angi finally sent two new techs to perform the install of the new shed and it went better. However, from when I ordered the shed to when the second one got installed, it was over a month.. Nicholas. I needed an outside storage shed with a thinner profile. I ordered this cabinet mostly based off the dimensions. So, first the good points (1) the order arrived undamaged (2) the directions were easy to follow, (3) all parts ( there were a lot of them) were present clearly labeled (4) it holds quite a bit of stuff once assembled. Now for the reasons I gave it 4 stars not 5 (1) it’s quite time-consuming to put together so give yourself at least 2 full hours if you’re working alone (2) the base of the cabinet does not sit flush with the rest of the storage unit is likely to be an entry point for bugs or standing water (3) all pieces are covered by a protective plastic adhesive which takes the brunt of the shipping scratches but must be removed from each piece preferably prior to assembly for a clean, scratch-free look (4) it’s almost impossible to remove the adhesive from all pieces once assembled (5) the metal, once uncovered, scratches easily. It’s an outdoor storage shed so chances are it will get scratched. So it’s not the end of the world, especially if it’s out of sight. I cannot confirm if it’s waterproof but the roof pieces overlap in a way that makes me think it will do just fine in areas not inundated with rain inclement weather.. Leslie. Fillmore, CA. It’s definitely not a 30 minute assembly even with two people. It’s more like 2-3 hours. Also, it has a lockable feature on the front doors, but the top lid doesn’t lock so the point of the lock is useless because you can open the lift lid which doesn’t lock and reach in and have items stolen.
