Honestly I had forgotten I bought this. I had not used it. It was still in the box. About 2 month ago the de-icer in the neighbors trough stopped working. I pulled this out and it said for 60 gallon trough. Their trough is 100 gallon. Having no choice with the temps going below freezing for several weeks I put it in and to my surprise it is working like a charm. Temps got as low as 4 degrees with no issue.
