It's a solid choice for a beginner/starter gun safe. Great price when I purchased it. My only con about it is the square turn handle is oddly shaped and made of what seems like week material, especially for opening a heavy metal door as you have to turn and pull on it with the weight of the door plus any accessories you have hanging from the interior door side..
