Known as Seshnag, the king of all serpents, a five-headed snake creates a protective canopy over the head of the elephant-headed Hindu god Lord Ganesha. Hand-carved from a single piece of kadam wood, this sculpture depicts Ganesha with his four hands holding different things; one hand blesses his people, another holds his favourite dessert, laddu, and the other two hold conch shells. Dayal J. Daryanani presents this sculpture from India.
