The square ends are cheap plastic. For the price of this rod, I would have expected better quality. And for some reason I cant return it, so not totally happy.

The rod does its job. Hanging wouldn't have been bad if it weren't for the section of drywall I was using. However, putting the screw holes directly in line with the mounting bracket for the rod is annoying for trying to install it into the wall.
