Tree pieces are put in a type of foam. They were all mostly loose when I got it. Definitely not worth the price. They barely stand up.

Love these, perfect for high atop my kitchen cabinets. BUT if you are buying these to set on a table or the like, where the branches meet the base is not attractive, you would need to buy some fake moss or something to cover up the inside. EXTREMELY well packaged.
