Bateau à modèle dickie walker

This is the second boat I purchased from this company. Great craftsmanship. This particular boat has really nice color, great detail that you would find on more expensive models.

Something went wrong in the packaging of this item. It arrived with the cabin detached from the hull, the upper hull detached from the lower hull and the two shorter main masts just hanging (the nails were exposed having been completely detached from the hull). The problem was that the crate in the box was not protected by sheets of Styrofoam as is normally done. The product catalogue was inside, rather than outside the crate and since it is somewhat heavy may have done some of the damage when in moved around inside the crate during shipping. I have bought many wooden ships from this vendor all of which were much bigger, more elaborate and fragile than this one and each one arrived in perfect condition because it was properly packaged. Unfortunately the quality control person was not paying attention when this was packaged and shipped. I never return things because its more trouble than its worth and my time is too valuable to me. I will finally get to use the tube of glue they provide in the package and see if I can repair the ship.

The boat is just beautiful, my husband loves it and it looks great in our house. The only problem is that the name plate came with the boat name misspelled Dickie Waker not Walker. Trying to get a corrected plate and haven't heard back.
