Seltzer Vintage Throw Pillow

This black and white vintage throw pillow features three large soda siphons, also referred to as bottles, printed on soft twill fabric. These original bottles were first exhibited at the Paris international exhibition in 1900 and, because of their high cost, became objects of sophistication and status among the wealthy upper class. These bottles, from the museum of Vancouver collection, have a variety of markings including Cross and co, Thorpe co and Meikle Brothers from Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Nelson, Ladysmith, and London.
