The photo definitely shows a sheen. But the material is identical to the old black white or brown and white pony hair. This is not what Im referring to when I describe leather. Its the texture of a Doberman Pinscher (although it probably wont shed). The pillow is designed to show one side. The other side has the zipper and brushed cotton(). I may keep it but Im not happy.
