I found that it has breathability, although I would purchase it in a dark grey rather than white. I think of you placed a light duvet cover it would still retain its cool touch properties. But I would prefer no cover. My hubby who runs hot, loved this blanket.

Such a hot sleeper that I can’t sleep on the foam mattresses because they are too hot for me. When I first put this on, on top of my sheet, but under my blankets, it was nice and cool. But as time went on, it warmed up. I ended up pushing it down around my feet because it was just too warm. It works well at first for me, and it may work better for others I don’t know this is just me. So if I’m wanting to just use it for let’s say an hour it stays nice and cool, but if I’m wanting it overnight, this one just wasn’t the one for me. 😞 .
