The curtain image had a valence on top. However, when I received my curtains, they did not have a valance. I immediately contacted customer service to express my concern, and the representative was able to verify the description of the curian with a valence.

These are just regular curtains there's no thermal or darkening properties. Only reason for the extra star is the color is really nice, but I have to purchase additional curtains and rods now for underneath to get what I purchased these for.
