Temperature is available in both Fahrenheit and Celsius, and the background lights up to read the screen easily at night. Ok this is the coolest clock ever!! I bought it just for looks, not knowing that it registers "Atomic Time" automatically. (Look it up -- it's a fascinating technology.) It took several hours but the clock finally received the signal here in New England all the way from Fort Collins, Colorado! (The manufacturer did a great job saying that might happen.)
