Perfection! Nothing else like perked coffee!

1) There is no plastic, except the knob of the lid, which cannot break from direct heat from percolating as it is attached in a separate layer of stainless steel that seems to protect it from direct heat to cause melting the plastic knob and seal, which on some percs there is no fix, or broken glass. 2) There is no resin at the bottom of the pot that attaches to the heater, so it cannot chip and melt away in your coffee mug. As a result, the heater is attached, yet not exposed. 3) it’s made under the brand name Farberware, which is a name that I’ve known for many years. 4) I purchased a warranty for 3 yrs I believe, vs. purchasing from an online platform that only offers a 30 day warranty, which is ludicrous when a company refuses to stand by its own name, period! I refuse to spend $$$ without one. I’ve learned this the hard way, especially with perculators, so lesson learned. 5) it brews a nice cup of coffee. It’s very quick if you’re on the run, approximately 7-8 minutes. However, I find if we let it sit for about 10-12 minutes the magic happens, it makes wonderful coffee. The only drawback is it doesn’t have an automatic shutoff, but the old percs never did either. I see it’s on sale, so get it now, otherwise, I fully recommend this Perc even at its full price.
