This lid overall is okay, but there are some issues. First, the product description on the Wayfair website says the lid is made of aluminum, but it actually is stainless steel, if that is of any concern to you. Also, this lid may not work with smaller fry pans in the 8" to 9" or smaller range depending on the shape of the pan handles. With the small fry pans I have, the edge of the lid will bump into the pan handle where it joins the pan, so you will need to leave the lid overhanging on the opposite side where the underside of the bell shape of the lid also overhangs the edge of the pan, causing a completely open space without sealing, so if you're hoping to steam something, all of the steam will just escape.

This is a good, sturdy lid that will perform admirably for many years.

I like it because it not only fits many different size pots and pans, but it also has a special air vent for steaming.

I wanted a lid to fir my larger skillets that was not glass,. I had one that was glass for my 10” skillet, but because the lid was so large and heavy, it rolled onto the floor and shattered! I searched and searched to find one for my 10” and 12” skillets that was not glass, so I did not have to worry about it falling and shattering again, and this was perfect-I don’t even have to fool with 2 large lids!
