Really well made and to me, worth the expense. The design is what attracted me and I am really enjoying it. Looks fantastic on the countertop among the other people canisters. Also a fun whimsical detail in the kitchen to reflect the cat who lives here :D

It's a beautiful piece that I love to display on the counter! My only gripe is that it's an odd size: about half an inch too short for storing churu packets (they fit if you really smush them in), and has way more space than I'd need for other cat treats. Anyhoo, if you want something that says 'I might be a cat lady but I'm a stinking fancy one' then this jar has you covered.
