I am very disappointed in this purchase. When I first opened them I immediately noticed they were not the bright red as shown. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of returning them so I kept them. However, as time is passing the color is fading and chipping off! I am very disappointed because I loved how they looked on the website.

These are beautiful dishes, taupe color is warm and just like pictures shown. Lovely surprise to turn the dishes over and see they are solid taupe! This is not shown in the pictures. I have now had these dishes for a year and they look terrible. Lots of grey marks all over from the silverware.

I liked the set; but I gave 4 stars because the color is not an accurate description. It is not red; but maroon. It is not vibrant as it looks on the photos. It is a dark dull red. The white is dull as well. I was expecting red and ivory. The paint job on the white is thin, translucent and greenish on tone. It's only concentrated white in the center of the plates. They are all well made and attractive; but my preference was true red and solid white or ivory. This is not a deal breaker and it's too much hassle sending them back. Next time, I'll eyeball them in person, before ordering online. My photos show the dark red tones (in comparison to true red).
