about 50% of these do not sit flat. you put them down on the table and they wobble. the bottoms are NOT flat. I love the way they look. but they wobble..... I have taken to using placemats so they won't wobble on my table so much. I bought 5 sets of these too. So I have 12 plates that wobble, 10 salad plates that wobble and 11 bowls that wobble. I would NOT recommend these to anyone. : (
