Tramontina Gourmet Enameled Cast Iron Covered Skillet

This is an extremely cast iron skillet, almost needs to people to carry it. The skillet is big and it can feed a family of four but maybe a little more. I thinking about getting the matching pot next.

First of all, it’s absolutely beautiful! So much so, I am keeping it on top of my stove permanently. Before buying I considered all the reviews. Took a while to decide to purchase but upon trying it out it was everything I was looking for. Cleans up easily. Has handle to make lifting lid easy as well as one opposite the main handle to help lifting the pan with both hands to avoid spillage.

It is my first time to test enameled cast iron skillet. I’m very surprised and unexpected the skillet weight is not that heavy if compared other brands . I got an amazing price with high quality. I have been ordered some products from Wayfair and very happy their service and shipment. I received the package is very secure and unique neat without any issues.

Beautiful! Heavy and well made. The shorter straight handle plus the second bucket handle make it feel secure when carrying a hot pan. Works great on stovetop and in oven.

I'm obsessed with this cast iron skillet with the lid! The red is gorgeous!

The exterior finish on this pan is beautiful but, that's the only good thing about it. The enameled coating inside the pan is extremely rough. Many of the things I cooked in it stuck to the rough surface. Another problem is the handle. There is no heat dissipation and gets very hot when cooking on the stove top and the enameled outside coating is very slippery making it difficult to moved to pan around from stove top to oven. This slippery condition also proves challenging when cooking on ceramic cook tops as it has a tendency to slide around. It heats quickly but doesn't seem to be an even heat. Most items in the middle of the pan will cook much faster than those towards the edges. I am disappointed in this purchase and cannot recommend.

Love this cast iron skillet. I make a delicious pineapple upside down cake. I also make a vanilla wafer cake hmmmmmmmm
