Gift for my father for Christmas, he loves them!

Great knives! The best of the best. I highly recommend this product. Beautiful knife block. Although there’s a small but noticeable split in the wood. Looks to be done while manufacturing it and not being glue properly. Also I do wish instead of two serrated craving knivesbread knife. It came with a 6 inch utility knife. This could have rounded off the set perfectly.

It's not overkill - just the right amount of knives, and sharp as expected for this quality knife set. We are getting used to the curved bolster, and enjoying the upgraded knife set.

So I will admit that I upgraded from a very cheap set of knives, but the Zwilling Pro set is amazing. Pay attention to the branding with J.A. Henkels - "Zwilling" are forged in Germany, where the "International" sets are made elsewhere and are of lower quality. Obviously very sharp (any high-end knife should be), but the construction here is clearly exceptional. Substantial feel in the hand when compared to cheaper knives. In particular, I love the way the blade blends smoothly into the tang - a great design feature that makes for a very comfortable grip in various situations. I have yet to see how they hold up with time, but the first impression is excellent. Keep in mind that you need to be a bit more careful with quality knives (do NOT put them in the dishwasher or let them soak in the sink). We are very happy to own this wonderful set!
