This is the perfect slow cooker for dips. It's been hard to find the right size with a high cook setting. The 1/2 and 2/3 quart cookers are marketed for dips but if you're actually making the dip from scratch then you need a little more room to fit all the ingredients before they cook down. Also, those sizes are basically just warmers because they don't have a high cook setting. The quality is fantastic. The temperature control is labeled well and easy to use. For safety's sake, a red light illuminates while in use and the handles stay cool to the touch. The lid is great. It's clear glass and has a vent hole. I love that I can see how everything is coming together without having to lift the lid and let all the heat escape. I've only had mine for a month so I can't really vouch for durability but I do attest that mine still looks and works like brand new. I highly recommend this Nesco slow cooker. Nice Serving Station!! I’m excited to try out my new serving station. This will be so nice to have for all the family dinners when you have things that you need to keep hot or warm until serving time. They seem like they will hold quite a bit.-They also come with lids. And I love that each one has a separate knob to adjust the temperature. I think this will also be great on taco nights to hold the rice and beans. This will be handy to have use in my kitchen.. Geri.
