Absolutely love the glasses; they're brilliantly clear, smooth, durable and fit great in the hand. The 9.75 oz. size is ideal, whereas some whiskey glasses are just too large/bulky in my cabinet. The 4-star rating (instead of a 5-star, which the glasses themselves deserve), is due to Wayfair's continued woes with shipping methods, explained below.
I have placed six or seven orders with Wayfair over the course of the last 14 months, with items ranging from major furniture to table lamps. The vast majority of my orders have sustained serious and irreparable damage incurred during the shipment process. Of the six glasses I was supposed to receive with this set, one was broken inside the manufacturer's box, shattered. These are durable glasses - meaning major mishaps and unprofessional shipment practices are taking place. Even major furniture items made of solid wood have arrived severely and irreparably damaged, and in one case the replacement piece was damaged as well. This indicates serious and rampant bad practices among Wayfair's shipment partner companies.
Wayfair representatives have always been extremely courteous, helpful, understanding and timely. They are amazing folks. I can only imagine the amount of profit the company isn't making due to the amount of return/replaced merchandise and its associated shipment costs, plus the amount of resources and personnel allocated to the return/replace department. Wayfair is still in business, so I assess their profit margins aren't suffering, but the though of how much more profit they could have made just off me alone were it not for the constant return/replace issues, is staggering.
Better shipping partners need to be identified and utilized. As a customer, I'd like to have what I ordered when I ordered it rather than having to wait on replacement items to arrive later, again and again. For those reading this, I hope it is helpful to you for at least the sake of expecting some broken merchandise in at least 50% of your orders, going through a return/replace process (and in Wayfair's defense, they keep the process very simple and painless for the customer, thank goodness), and adding time to whenever you thought you'd receive your items. If I needed these six glasses immediately for a party or something, for instance, I wouldn't have had the number I was counting on having, due to faulty shipping. Place your orders with the aforementioned cautions in mind.. Marq William. Ashburn, VA. Wed Jul 19 2017
