It is designed to fit the older style incandescent light bulb, not the newer LED style, which have a larger diameter bulb. It DOES stay put, but it is a very loose fit and might fall off.

This sconce shade does its job. It fits fine, but gets easily crooked. I'm happy enough with it; it's more of a functional thing than a "wow this is amazing" thing.
