Wood Pull Out Trash/Waste Container with Soft Close

**edit- soft close is no longer working- changed to 2 stars This soft closing pull out waste container is very nice! The actual product is super sturdy and feels very custom. The reason that I took off a star is because of the templates. They are not a one size fits all unfortunately. Double check that the provided template works for your kitchen before drilling holes!

Delivery was a nightmare. It just didn’t ship for weeks so I had to chat up with Wayfair to get them to order a replacement, which shipped quickly. I then received it without the plastic can, and one of the screw holes were already stripped out. I finally received the can a few weeks later after chatting up there again. Other than one of the screw holes being broken, it’s great quality and I’m satisfied with it now.

If you have had these under cabinet trash cans installed before, this is the high quality you know and love. If you haven’t had them before, it is a game changer. It comes in two packages, one with the cans and one with all of the wooden pieces nicely stacked together. There was zero damage to the contents of either. There are more pieces to assemble than you’d expect but it is a one time assembly for a lifetime of convenience. I had one of the metal pull out shelves before and although I loved it, it did feel flimsy at times. The wooden one feels indestructible.

The product is very thick, wood and packaging was great. The only reason I took off a star was the screws were hard to slip into the thread. I thought it was because the threaded area was off-center, but it was actually because the pre-drilled holes in the wood weren’t completely cleared out. Some wood was left one side of most of the holes. It would’ve been a lot easier to assemble had they cleared all the pre-drilled holes first. I didn’t realize it until I was about 12 screws into 14. Trash can was a little smaller than I thought but I like it has a spot for the trash bags.

I gave the slide out waste container by HomLux five stars because it is very well made. The wood is very thick and it slides very easily. The instructions were very clear also. It also came with two waste baskets which was a nice bonus. I would recommend this product.
