Definitely not an outdoor mat. This is a RUG with no backing whatsoever. The colors have faded significantly in under a year. Cute design tho.

Could not love this more!! I keep alternating it between my den and my balcony so I can look at it more. A wonderful, whimsical and good quality rug for all pooch lovers! No dogs allowed in my new apartment, plus I have allergies, so THESE are my pets !! There names are Harry, Dennis, Susie, Spinster and Big Guy ! This rug has survived a few soaking rains with no musty smell after drying out !
