The area rug is soft & the dense pile is excellent. The carpet has a terrible odour once unpacked and the color of the beige area is uneven. It’s more yellow/gold at one end and lighter at side that was most tightly rolled. The tightly-rolled end makes “cracking” noises and the glue holding the cotton backing is already peeling off. Might need to be sewn on to ensure it stays in place.
