Very soft and plush, this is a long shag rug, the Periwinkle color is spot on! The color is also two tone, with a shiny type of finish.

I needed something between blue and lavender and the periwinkle seemed perfect. I recently purged a small extra bedroom of 3 large pieces of furniture I have been storing and wanted to create a fresh, simple but pretty space. I purchased the 4’ round but could have gone with the 6’. The periwinkle pulled the colors together even though there wasn’t as much blue to the bluish-purple I had hoped for. (See photo of the contrasting wall). The rug had a strong smell when I unrolled it, but it faded in a week - 10 days. I vacuumed it a couple of times and it laid flat fairly quickly. It’s a decent thickness rug but I would say soft. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase.
