This is a stunning, substantial piece for my townhome's office/den. I love the black iron bar that runs through it. Great material and color juxtaposition to the solid wood. The bar is both stylish and functional as a foot rest. No ottoman needed! One caution - the walnut is much more light cherry-ish than medium brownish walnut wood, so it hardly looks like the product photo, but thankfully it still comes across as modern, as I didn't want a traditional-looking desk. Love that you can see the wood knots and veining. Gives it the authentic wood look that solid wood deserves.

This table is as advertised. Solid wood. Very nicely made. Heavy, but easy to put together. We really like it!
