10 MONTH UPDATE While I would love to say that these chairs are holding up nicely... I cant. The fabric itself looks fine, the piping is somehow sliding out from normal use... mind you I have no children or pets. The paint on the legs is wearing off... well, the legs that are still attached at least. The screws on this chair are nowhere near long enough and the legs are just shimmying themselves right out. In addition, the seats, while comfortable, sink down WAY too much when youre seated. I am going to have to rebuild this chair, or toss it - who knows. Adding a support board under the seat will help, plus longer screws to hold the legs together... the paint is a problem for another day, along with trying to figure out how to snake the piping back in. Im not sold on this chair, if Im being honest... I would look elsewhere simply based on the quality and price. Really pretty chairs and solid. It did some quite a bit of finagling to get them put together... only downside, but I wont deduct a star for that. To save yourself from a bit of frustration, you might want to pick up 6 or so wood screws that are quarter inch longer that what is provided. I had about that many screws that just would not catch to get the crossbars on. Besides that initial frustration, putting these together is simple. Just make sure you dont tighten the legs to the seat until you have stood up the chair... this will save you from having an uneven wobbly chair. I purchased the counter height and while they are slightly lower that I thought I would like, they appear to be the right height for my back and shoulders to not hurt. I sit on these chairs for 8 plus hours per day, as I bought them for my office. The cushion is nice and springs back once you pry yourself out of it after a long day. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase. Decent price, shipping was fast, and quality of the product is pretty good so far. I would purchase again, and recommend them.

The chair is actually 22” from the floor to edge of seat. I felt like a child since the chair was so low and I am 5’9 at a 36” counter. The back is at an incline more appropriate for watching tv, not for sitting at a counter. Really leans back. It’s a very nice stool but the description is inaccurate. It is comfortable and made well. Just not good for counter seating.

Good for regular adult handling. I have a teenager and an eight year d and They are too rough on it. It seems to be coming a bit wiggly. However the padding is very comfortable.

Nice but kind of a pain to put them together

Comfortable chairs but poor construction, required some additional reinforcement and wood glue as screws were not sufficient. Looks exactly as pictured. I like the metal foot rail over the wood.

The chairs look very pretty but they were poorly manufactured. Holes didn’t line up well and stripped the bolts. The back of the chair which came preassembled with back legs & brace fell apart when taking out of the box (screw fell out). Tried to put the screw back in and found the hole was completely stripped out already and useless. We had to use wood glue to glue the chair together. Although it’s holding up well and I like the way it looks, it is not worth the trouble. Just get a chair that’s made properly.

Here is the deal, the chairs are nice and assembly is easy enough. Understand these are China made and will not adhere to strict tolerances (leg holes / screw holes will not line up or fit perfect), but here are a couple of tricks to make the assembly easier and chairs last longer. Note: I am a mechanical engineer who builds custom furniture so I kinda know what I am talking about. - Additional Items to Buy Before Assembly • 1.5" #10 Spax Screws (Torx head for power drill is included with $10 box) • Wood Glue or Construction Adhesive • Blue Thread Lock - Installation Notes • Instructions that come with the chairs are lacking. • Screws that come with the chairs do not make a solid connection. • If using the 1.5" #10 Spax screws (heavily recommended), you will want a T20 screwdriver for the final torquing of screws. • If you have never used Torx screws before, be careful to not over tighten the screws and strip the wood. It is easy to apply a lot of force with a Torx head and I don't want you to screw up the chair. If done correctly, the 1.5" #10 Spax Torx head screw will make a significantly stronger connection compared to the provided screws. - Assembly Sequence • Apply blue thread lock on 4 bolts and install seat cushion. Tighten back 2 bolts BEFORE tightening side 2 bolts. Do not fully torque any bolts until all legs and cross members are installed. • Smear / spread glue in all cross member holes in legs (doing this before installing front legs makes it easier). • Place front legs in seat cushion and put cross members in place BEFORE installing front leg bolts. (Screws holes facing down, kick plate flat metal face facing out) • Apply blue thread lock to front leg bolts and tighten but do not fully torque. • Install screws in back legs first then front legs. • Place the chair on the floor, have someone sit in it, then final torque all bolts. • Do not use the chairs for 1 day (I know, sorry) to allow glue and thread lock to dry. That is it. Of course, you could just roll with the hardware provided and not add glue or thread lock, but I did and feel confident it will make the chairs last longer. Cheers
