It’s very firm but not uncomfortable. It holds its shape when in use. You could easily use it as table in front of the couch.

Just what we were looking for! We love the orange color - probably more of a terra cotta color, which we love. They're firm for sitting but soft enough to put our feet up. We ordered two and had an issue with one of them but customer service promptly and cheerfully took care of it.
