This bookcase is extremely difficult to put together - the level of complexity of what goes where is extremely high. My husband who is a pro at putting furniture together has worked for hours on it unsuccessfully to date . There are many warnings about if you do it wrong it will break the book case . Would not buy again . For hours on it and has yet to succeed . Wh

Took awhile to assemble but once together it looks nice and served my needs. Product is definitely not wood but seems fairly solid.
