I received the kitchen island with extendable dining table which had a few challenges during assembly. One of the board was not milled with the cut outs to fit the other piece together. I contacted customer service and they contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent the correct piece which took about a week to receive. During assembly, there were some areas where the pre-made holes for the screws were not lined up and required some drilling to correct. Once the island was assembled, it looked great and was sturdy. Behind the two doors is an adjustable shelf with ample storage and the drawer is wide and roomy. There is a towel rack at the end of the island and the extendable table pulls out easily and provides enough room for two adults to sit. I love the fluted wood design and the gold fixtures stands out nicely from the white. - First impression once assembled, looks just like the model online. However, the wood top had 2 damaged areas 1 a scratchgouge, another that had a stain that someone tried to color in and varnish over. We had put so much work that when we noticed it, we were an hour in and didnt want to have to wait for a new one. - Assembly with two people, it took about 2 12 hours to assemble. It was a pretty simple process, but they were just a lot of pieces. There were two times that the instructions were unclear in terms of the direction certain pieces had to go in, and in other areas it seemed like the steps could have been done in a better way. But overall it was simple but tedious. Instructions would earn a 94 out of 100. Finished we are very happy with the entries result. It goes really well with our other furniture and the sage green color is really pretty. I like the extra space with the flip top wood on top, but part of me wishes that the extra piece was on the other side. Also, since we use this for a space between our kitchen and dining room, the paper towel holder seems a little out of place. If it was just for the kitchen it would make sense. But thats a personal preference. The drawers are nice and deep, and the shelves are movable so that you can adjust them to various heights if your needs change. Overall we are very happy and glad that we saved the assembly fee. The reasons for not giving a five star two gouges on the wood top, and a few areas of the instructions had to be figured out. I have this next to my stove. I have color black. I use it every day. It holds all of my spatulas in the drawer, and the shelf has the toaster. The shelf with the door has my heavy glass bowls. I use the top of the stand for when I am cooking. I have extra room now when I cook to put plates and bowls and the spoon rest. It wipes up well with soap and water. This has been a fabulous addition to our kitchen. Assembly was long, but straightforward. We did have an issue with the handle on the trash tilt-out thing.
