Really? Photo mis-represents the product. Plastic tubes with some sort of paper thin "shelf." Just now have to figure out how to return it.

This is a very lightweight, but seemingly sturdy storage bookcase. Not as sturdy as a wooden one of course, but good for what it is made of. We needed something that was 12" between shelves and this one gave those dimensions. Unfortunately, it is just shy of that with the rods that it is built with so we had to, and were lucky we could, modify the items intended for this bookcase and now it is working fine.

This shelf bookcase first looked a bit disappointing because it seemed more fitting for a teenager’s room and not a home office. However, once assembled (a very easy process, by the way), it started looking much better. Also, it feels sturdier than one might think. I am quite happy with this product.
