They come in pairs and we bought two (for a total of four barstools). They were very easy to assemble and are sturdy, stable and look very classy because of the black leather-like fabric.

We are installing an island in our kitchen, and these would look beautiful contrasting with the color of the top. We also got a new black sink that would look great matching these chairs.
