These are as they appear in the picture. The price is good for the quality. The wood finish is nice and even. There are visible screw holes (maybe there were caps that my husband didn't see and threw away?) The seat is comfortable. The whole bar stool seems stable. These are not high end but are perfect for the craft table that we purchased them for.
