Rafeef Bookcase

After a renovation project, I put the shelves in the 4 of 5 bookshelves I purchased 8 months ago. I wasn’t pleased with the pre drilled holes but managed to get the shelves installed for the two Tall bookcases. Eight months later the book filled shelves are beginning to fall. The holes that were poorly drilled are tearing and the clips are coming down. My work around the poorly pre drilled holes has failed and my purchase of these bookshelves a huge disappointment.

We purchased two shelves. One of them has a large gouge on the very bottom shelf which cannot be replaced. It was covered by the moveable shelves stored on the bottom for shipping. We hope we can find stain that will cover the obvious gouge and other small areas on the shelves that need additional attention. There seems to be some thin spots in the stain which need some attention. For the price we think the quality of the product should be better. Wayfair did offer us a replacement but then there are no guarantees the next book shelf won't have some issues.

Well to be perfectly honest, the delivery team was fantastic! They arrived as they indicated, they were, friendly, courteous, and ever so efficient. The bookcase arrived early enough to have placed all necessary items on the shelves long before the noon hour. However, once the packaging was removed, the bookcase put in its proper place the matter of how to remove the wood wedges (placed on the left and right sides) holding the shelves in place became the major obstacle of frustration. It's like getting in your car to take a drive, you open the door, take a seat, put the key in the ignition, turn the key or push the button and nothing happens, looking at the gas gauge, you realize you have no gas. Went online to your website, located the item page, found there were instructions on how to remove the wedges. It’s like being stranded in the desert with no water and no camel. Do you have any suggestions?

Pros: beautiful wood, color of item was a true match to the available photos on Wayfair. Cons: It took a month and a half for delivery. The backs of the bookshelves are not solid wood and some of the backs were partially STAPLED together. Where the staples were sticking out the back, or there were no staples, it caused large gaps that we will have to fix with wood glue and nails. The decorative front sides had visible gaps where the wood was not attached. I'm unsure if that can even be fixed unless I strategically place them at an angle so the gaps aren't as visible. Overall, not solid wood as advertised, the craftsmanship is poor, very disappointed in quality considering the price.

Ordered (3) 84 tall units. They put the shelves on the bottom and blocked them in. The blocks broke during shipping and ripped the back panel off each unit. I had to staple the back on the frame. They also didnt send enough shelf brackets. Stain was inconsistent, but luckly the bad part is located on the top where you cant see it. One unit is slightly warped and doesnt line up with the other unit. Once everything got fixed, they do look nice.
