Aesthetically this is a great desk. However the assembly instructions are terrible, and you need to have an analytical and patient mind to decipher and improvise as the process doesn’t always work as the diagrams show. Aside from that, the lower right drawer which is for the file folders, could not be assembled due to mis- drilled side panels. We contacted the manufacturer directly for help and at first they were very responsive and tried to get us a solution. They even said they would ship the correct parts. Then silence. So we contacted Wayfair. They told us the replacement parts would be shipped. Then they said they were backordered. Then they said they were not available. They offered two solutions eventually, and this has been going on for 4-5 weeks. Pack the desk back up and ship it back- not happening obviously due to the fact that 90% of the desk has been assembled, through great trial and error over many days. They would send us a different desk if we did that. They obviously have no clue how incredibly unrealistic that is. Or they would credit us a small percentage for the fact that the main storage drawer was unable to be assembled. Well, that was mighty generous of them. As a small business owner, if we had an unhappy customer, they would demand a full refund and a replacement along with leaving us a terrible review. But a company the size of Wayfair can get away with less than suitable options. Granted- you get what you pay for and I fully realize that. But I’m very disappointed I the measly refund Wayfair ended up giving us and I had no choice but to accept it. We rigged the drawer to at least be semi operable on our own after going to the hardware store ourselves. Think twice before purchasing cheap Chinese products from Wayfair.
