We wanted to get a full size bed for our teen, but we also considered the size of his bedroom. This platfom bed takes up little visual space, allowing almost one foot of under-the-bed storage in which we picked up containers for odds and ends. The wood quality is great; I read specifications on quite a few of the beds and found this one to have few to little added chemicals. I would also like to note that I assembled the bed in 45 minutes- instructions were easy to follow and the tools and materials were easy to use. Great quality bed, for a great price!

Looks like cut lumber. It doesn't have a finished look. I have to stain and varnish to make it look more finished.
