It was just what we needed, but then we moved....... We are still using it in our new place, but boy can I see what a space saver this would have been in her other room. Not that her current room is large or anything. My soon to be 9 year old daughter is enjoying it , but compared to another bunk I bought through wayfair, it is far less sturdy. I tried to jam it hard into a corner to add as much support as possible. My husband and I also double checked all the connections, but you can feel the pressure on the ladder as you climb up to the top. This bothers me a little, but she is still small enough. It might be a bigger issue for a teenager. For me, it is a notable issue, so I'll place this piece at a 4 star. However, overall, the piece does the trick on space saving with a desk included. We have not put the bunk bed together yet. We paid for Angies to assemble it but three times they were going to come to assemble the bed and each time cancelled. This bed is so adorable. We got it for my 3 year old and it’s over the top girly in the best way. There’s a slim white inlaid detail on the headboard we didn’t notice until delivery that is super cute. She loves it. It was also beyond easy to put together - took us maybe 30 minutes. This is super pretty, and exactly the aesthetic I wanted. My husband put it together by himself and it is very sturdy. No wobbles or caving in slats. We used the taller legs and it’s a nice height. We got a king size, and are not using a box spring. I will say, I agree with other reviewers that the headboard part is a little underwhelming. I wish it was a teeny bit taller!
