The color said red, but they were a burgandy or wine color. That was fine for me. The pad on the chair was 1" and that is what I wanted. BUT there was no photo online of the back of the chair. The back of the chair has brackets with screws. When stacking the chairs the screw heads leave an indentation on the front of the back of the chair it is stacked on. The indentations won't go away. We are returning.
