This item was better than I had expected and fits nicely if you need a compact bed for a smaller room. For the price this is a solid choice! Directions were a little hard to follow and overall took the entire day for a single person to assemble. The bed seems fairly sturdy — I had done a little extra reinforcing by using glue for the dowels. The drawers were a little off (see pictures), but they should work. We will see how this holds up against our 2 boys! We’re planning to fashion a door for under the bed — this has been a nice little play area for the kids.

Very nice bed frame! Kids love it! We ended up keeping off the back panels and creating a reading nook underneath. It was missing one drawer piece, but we ended up voiding the drawer in that section between the lower bed and the higher bed so no one used it as a ladder.
