Disappointed. This headboard is not freestanding. Even the assembly instructions show how to attach it to the bed. The only way I’m keeping it against the wall is by pushing the mattress up against it. I have an adjustable bed and when I raise the head of the bed it has to push against the headboard which is not good for the bed motor. Moving the mattress away to avoid this causes the headboard to lean forward from the wall. Before I ordered this headboard I phoned Wayfair to confirm that the headboard was free standing and would work with an adjustable bed. The only thing that is adjustable on this headboard is the height. Apparently I will not be able to count on a product description from Wayfair. The item itself is okay as long as you realize it is not freestanding.
