Tilly Upholstered Low Profile Platform Bed

What a pain to receive and put together, only to find it to be super short and 3” shorter than description! First the bed was shipped to my town and then literally across the US and back and was a week late. Wayfair couldn’t help. Then when we went to put it together the holes don’t align well. The finally the headboard is 3” shorter than the description. It’s lovely otherwise!

This Tilly platform bed looks nice, but had many problems. The assembly was terrible and I couldn’t even fully assemble the bed properly. The metal legs that support the headboard don’t allow you to screw it in at the same height of the headboard so in order to make it work I’m going to have to try drilling holes into the metal to make room. Also, I don’t have a picture of this, but the corners of the upholstered side rails don’t connect securely, so when I tried to move the bed, the sides immediately shifted and the screws came out. I honestly don’t even know if I can use this bed but now it’s outside the return window so it’s been a huge waste of money.

We love this bed. Feels high end without being too pricey.

I really like Wayfair, but this time I feel so disappointed with this purchase. First I received the boxes and the item was a little damaged, and customer service offered me a discount to keep the bed. Then I slept a couple of nights on the bed and I realized that the specifications of the bed are totally wrong. I ordered this bed because it says you don’t need a spring box, so after I assembled the bed and forced the mattress to fit it in, I realized it looked totally sunk, and the slats actually don’t offer support to your mattress my back hurts me after the first night, so I decided to buy two box-springs. The bed looks beautiful, but once I put the mattress on top, the mattress didn’t fit on the top space. The mattress protruded 3in, so I measured the length of the bed, and indeed its 3in shorter, also the height of the headboard is 44in and not 47in as the description of the item says. At this point, I no longer had the boxes, in which the bed was shipped, so I called customer service and they offer me a refund of my money as long they received the defective item first. I totally understand, but I realized that this was a defective item after I got rid of the boxes, so now I need to spend money on making custom boxes to send the item back. This situation is overwhelming. They actually told me I can always try to sell the bed locally, but I can not sell something that is defective or hide information to sell it. In the end, I decided to unattached the headboard from the frame of the bed and separated it 3 inches, now you can see a hole on both sides of the headboard. I decided to keep the bed and learn to live with it but I feel stolen considering the price of this bed, and that I received a defective item.
