Both the directions and holes predrilled were fairly easy to assemble. Due to the size it came in 3 sections but once the first was assembled it went much faster. We are pleased with armoire as far as the way it looks but the lack of the 5th star in the rating was simply due to the material in the outer pieces. They are quite flimsy but are supported by enough screws that the final product seems sturdy enough. It was a fair price for the quality of materials and looks nice when done.
