This stool is perfect for smaller islands because of it's small diameter. I like that people can sit on it facing the island, or also facing away from the island towards our great room. It's quite comfortable, with a very deep cushion on the top. The vinyl is fairly realistic looking and easy to clean, but it's clearly not real leather. The only downside is that it's a strange height, a bit taller than typical counter stools and a bit shorter than typical bar stools. When no one is sitting on it, it looks like a bar stool; when you sit on it, the top cushion compresses a lot and it looks like a counter stool.
